As part of the project "Conversion of Ludwigsburg railway station into a feel-good station", the "LUI Ludwigsburg Intermodal" project was applied for by the Urban Development Institute. The LUI project is part of the "Schaufenster Elektromobilität" (Electromobility Shop Window) project and will be linked with other projects in the shop window region to form "LivingLab BWe mobil". The Urban Planning Institute is responsible for a structure to set up car and pedelec sharing. In the LUI project, an innovative business model for electromobile Car-Sharing is to be tested: For this purpose, the integration of Car-Sharing into intermodal path chains and intermodal infrastructure (railway station, Park&Ride, loading and parking management, etc.) as well as the integration of the innovative Car-Sharing into the fleet management of municipalities / companies and into the management of private commuter traffic will be tested. In addition to potential locations for charging points, the expansion of renewable energies in the vicinity of the station is also being examined in order to guarantee a CO2-neutral energy supply for the alternative mobility concepts. A climate protection concept still to be drawn up will take into account the expansion of renewable energies.
